School Desktops
Students go to great lengths to leave their mark in high school. Carving initials in a desktop, chewing gum stuck to the bottom, or playing tic tac toe with permanent marker. To increase the longevity of school desks, we created a label molded directly into desktops that eliminates edges (so it can't be pried off like traditional laminate tops can). It also repels pens, pencils, permanent markers AND it looks fabulous. School smarts at work.
Recycling Woes
Disposing of an empty soda can is effortless - throw it in the recycling bin, not garbage can. Not everyone takes the time to recycle, so to incent community members, one municipality developed a tracking and recording system using RFID tags molded into recycling containers. The programmable tags provide automated data collection and transfer through a satellite system. The recycling container is weighed by the collection truck and customers are rewarded with discounts from local businesses for the amount they collect.
High Traffic
School gymnasiums get a beating from physical education classes, volleyball games, and basketball tournaments. Some schools would love to replace their old gym floors but can't afford to. As a solution, they have installed interlocking plastic floor tiles at a portion of the cost. With a woodgrain design, the tiles look like a traditional gym floor that can endure years of wear and tear.
